Bangalore-based WoodTech Consultants has tied up with Aadhunik Woodworking Machinery (AWM) in Pune to serve the expanding markets in Maharashtra, Goa and Madhya Pradesh. AWM has a state-of-the-art woodworking machines showroom in the Pune-Narhe Industrial Estate, where customers can walk in to see the demonstration of machinery.
AWM will mainly focus on after-sales service to their customers, which is a critical area for furniture manufactures. This is the first showroom in Pune area for woodworking machines. It aims to connect with and serve furniture manufactures in Pune, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Satara, Karad, Sangli and Goa.
Another important factor in this new venture is that two women entrepreneurs, Ms. Prajakta Deodhar and Ms. Anagha Chapalgaonkar, are managing the firm. India is showing excellent growth rate in construction and services sectors, which are parameters of furniture sector growth. Many interior designers, architects, high-end carpenters and contractors are demanding factory-made furniture to meet increased demand of the kitchen, home and office furniture segments.
